Dr. Hyeyoung Cho has been a director general of Industrial Location Research Institute at Korea Industrial Complex Corporation(KICOX) since January of 2016. She holds a PhD of Economic Geography from Seoul National University. Prior to joining KICOX in 1997, she worked as a researcher at Korea Research Institute of Human Settlement(KRIHS). She has been doing research on industrial location policy and regional economy for more than 20 years and has participated in more than a hundred research projects. She has been an active advisor to numerous local governments and national organizations to conduct consultancy / advisory duties for policy-making and regional innovations. She is also having exchanges with advanced overseas clusters as a full membership of International Association of Science Parks (IASP), and through the collaborate researches with international organizations including UNIDO, World Bank, and ADB, She has continuously disseminated Korea’s experience of industrial parks and cluster development to the developing countries.
