Learning workshops
In parallel workshops lessons are extracted from observations and experiences of mature clusters and cluster programmes in the Greenbook and from other sources.
Action workshops
Gothenburg 2003 set the scene for TCI´s 6th annual conference. One of the highlights was the action workshops. They explored emerging clusters, emerging cluster programmes and meeting challenges. Representatives from the new EU member states and the rest of the world presented their cases.
Preparatory course
One of the most popular events of the conference was the preparatory course, which was being offered again in Gothenburg. This half day programme offered insights to both newcomers and more experienced practitioners.
Keynotes & Plenary Addresses
The key note presentations and plenary addresses formed one of the highlights of the conference. The majority of these speeches can be found here on line.
Keynote address by Michael Porter
Michael Porter gave a keynote address to close the end of TCIs 6th Annual Conference. The presentation outlined the economic reasoning behind cluster strategy and how it has been greatly developed over recent years, helping make cluster-based approaches a widely accepted strategy for economic development.

The Cluster Initiative "Greenbook"
The Cluster Initiative Greenbook was presented at the TCI conference in Gothenburg 2003. It presents the outcome of a survey of more than 250 cluster initiatives across the world.
