The 16th TCI Annual Global Conference, to be held in Kolding on 3-6 September 2013, will address the critical question "How can clusters innovate through various types of strategic partnerships?". The conference will provide cluster practitioners with the latest knowledge and insights on topics such as demand driven innovation, entrepreneurial eco- systems, designthinking, smart specialisation and cross-border cluster collaboration.

The 2012 TCI Annual Global Conference will provide a unique opportunity for policy-makers, cluster practitioners and academics to advance our understanding of "place-based" competitiveness challenges, and to discuss practical approaches to key issues such as competitiveness policies today, cluster renewal, smart specialization, inter-cluster collaboration, policy governance, evaluation and benchmarking, the role of universities, cluster entrepreneurship, innovation infrastructures, management of IPRs, creativity and collaboration, leadership, etc.
Organized in collaboration with TCI member İzmir Development Agency, the conference will focus on clustering and innovation policy practices and the clusters' experiences in the Mediterranean Area. The main outcome of the Conference will be building social bridges between all sides of the Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and European Countries.
Organized by TCI and our organizational member SEDEC-Secretariat of Economic Development Nuevo Leon, the 7CLAC is being thought to support Latin American regions to adopt new and better models which may further contribute to increase their competitivenesss, and also as a step forward in developing a cluster cooperation network in Latin America. The call for proposals is open and the organizing committee invites Latin American and international practitioners to take active part in this promising 7CLAC in Monterrey.
