9th TCI Annual Global Conference, Lyon 2006, with over 400 participants!

A very successful conference in Lyon is over. During one week over 400 cluster practitioners met in Lyon to discuss on Governance, Business Involvement, Evaluation methodologies and many other hot topics. The participants could chose among different cluster tours on Monday and Tuesday and get some insights on the local cluster work.

Tuesday was then designed as an Open Day to bring the participants together with people from the region. During the evening the Intercluster Forum allow to network with over 800 people in the Cites des Congres in Lyon.

The main conference took then place in the beautiful facilities of the Chamber of Commerce - intense exchanges in the corridors and breakout sessions, insights into the Automotive Sector, Africa, Innovation Journalism, user-driveninnovation and many more...

Participants had the priviledge to see a video with the father of the "industrial districts", Prof. Becattini, who was interviewed just some weeks before in Florence, Italy, by Emiliano Duch, member of the Board of Advisors.

Jan Sandred, our commissioner for Media, PR and Marketing, gave insights to the conference on the conference blog. Have a look at http://clusters2006.blogspot.com! You can also find a selection of pictures he took during the conference on flickr.
