After more than 2 years of mandate and due to his obligations as new Deputy Director of the Development Centre, OECD, Carlos Alvarez resigned last January from the TCI Board of Directors. He will continue participating as member of the TCI Network from his new location in Paris.
During the last Board meeting, it was decided to appoint Jaime Echeverri as new interim member of the Board. Following TCI bylaws, this designation will be presented for ratification at the next meeting of the General Assembly.
Jaime Echeverri is Vice President of Planning and Development at the Medellin Chamber of Commerce, one of the most active TCI supporting member in Latin America. He has participated in past TCI conferences and was responsible for the organization of the 5CLAC in 2010. He is one of the promoters of RedLAC and also of the Colombian Network of Clusters with the participation of 20 of the 32 Colombian regions.
