Objectives
TCI Caspian Contact Point focuses on a regional level, pursuing the promotion of the cluster approach to increase the standard of well-being in Russia, Kazakstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan.
Under the direction of Nataliya Korchagina, member of the TCI Board of Directors and head of the Centre for Competitiveness and Cluster Initiatives of Astrakhan State University, this regional initiative develops new services with its members and serves as information point in the Caspian región.
Concretely, this initiative aims at:
- linking the community of competitiveness and clusters practitioners in the Caspian region
- speaking for the Caspian region in TCI
- promoting and diffusing TCI initiatives and bringing TCI voice in the Caspian region
- confirming the membership of existing TCI members, and
- generating new TCI members
Official launch
TCI Caspian Contact Point will officially be launched on the occasion of the Conference on "Competitiveness of Companies and Territories. New Vision. International Dialogue" organized by Astrakhan State University and to be held in Astrakhan, October 25-27, 2011. TCI President, Alberto Pezzi, and General Manager, Patricia Valdenebro, will both be representing TCI in the event.
Discussions on the most urgent questions like "How to start a cluster project? How to make it the most effective and eliminate mistakes? How to make the potential partners interested in cluster interaction?" will be addressed.
