Stress test of Innovation Policy in Europe

This conference aims at contributing to the discussion on how we can further develop and strengthen triple helix interaction, business research collaboration and innovation policies throughout Europe. The conference being organized by the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education is organizing in collaboration with the European Commission’s DG Enterprise and Industry, will take place on 23-24 October 2012 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The current economic situation in Europe calls for excellent innovation policies. This requires that policy makers and programme owners at the national and European level maximize the outcome and impact of investments. The event will show the best practices in Europe and the crucial mistakes on innovation policy.


The conference stress test will focus on three central themes within the innovation policy:

• SME innovation support schemes
• Commercial exploitation of knowledge, IP and inventions
• Networks and cluster policies
