EduCluster Finland - Searching for a pilot cluster!

Last TCI Annual Global Conference created the mindset of ‘learning cluster’. EduCluster Finland is now in the process of finalizing the concept and is looking for a partner: Would your cluster want to get valuable benefits with only a small investment and be part of the development work for new kind of cluster networking?

Who is EduCluster Finland searching for?

EduCluster Finland is searching for a cluster that is either starting its actions or is already an established cluster seeking some new efficiency. No matter which industry or field of service your cluster represents, all that is needed is the enthusiasm of the people inside your cluster to develop the cluster cooperation further.

... and for what?

EduCluster Finland is launching a new development tool for all sorts of clusters. Work started in 2009, when they organized the 12th TCI Annual Global Conference in Jyväskylä, Finland with the theme of learning clusters. EduCluster Finland knows by experience that learning and the capability to change are critical success factors in today's economy. A ‘learning cluster' is a community that effectively acquires knowledge with various methods and innovates fast to thrive in a changing environment.

EduCluster Finland would like to find a cluster to be their Learning Cluster pilot. Being a pilot means that you take part in the development process. The investment is only 4.200 € including the first phase of the process: an online questionnaire, analysis and the debriefing session. The first phase analysis creates a picture of the operational capacity of the cluster, describes three of the most pressing problems of the network and a focus for the main issues of growth potential and identifies a group of change agents for the next steps. The approach emphasizes the individuals within the cluster.

Attached you can find the brochure of the process. Get a more detailed description and don't hesitate to ask Anna Korpi for more information.

What you need to do:

  • Find out if there is an interest inside your cluster to participate in the pilot.
  • If there is a preliminary interest, send an e-mail to the address below, before 31st August, 2010. This expression of interest is by no means binding.
  • Be ready to start the process at the end of 2010. More detailed schedule will be agreed according to your schedules and circumstances.
  • After the end of the pilot process EduCluster Finland would like to have your input through a short evaluation about the process in order to develop it further.
