Description

Lyon Chamber of Commerce & Industry supports the development of cluster initiatives in Rhone Alps region since 2004. In 2006, the Chamber hosted the 10th TCI Annual Global Conference in Lyon, in which 424 practitioners from 52 countries participated. The Chamber works in the global economic development area and has a consulting team in charge of innovation for SMEs in relationship with Poles and Cluster initiatives. Nowadays, the Chamber is leading the following initiatives:

• Pôle de Compétitivité Lyon Urban Truck & Bus (LUTB): the association started in 2005 and today 132 members dedicated to the transportation of goods and people in urban areas participate (100 SMEs/groups; 32 R&D organizations, training and users; 96 labellised projects, 48 financed for 153 million Euros). Pollucted and Truck Bus World Forum celebrated in Lyon each year is a significant event in this field.
• Lighting Cluster: the association, which was created in 2008 in order to develop business and to promote the new sources like LED, nowadays has 100 members. It is an innovative platform: InnoLED, Pavillon Rhone Alps Shanghai.
• European Defense Enterprise Network: the association created in 2008 has 43 members developing business in the defense sector. This cluster has a large participation on Milipol exhibition (Paris and Qatar).
