Description

Secretariat of Economic Development Nuevo Leon (SEDEC) is a government agency with the purpose of providing incentives and support economic development in the state, coordinating public and private efforts for the creation and consolidation of domestic and foreign companies, as well as programs that enable economic growth. It works directly with groupings of institutions based on the outline of the triple helix (academia, private sector and government) in 10 strategic areas: aerospace, agro-industrial, automotive, biotechnology, appliances, nanotechnology, specialized medical services, information technology and software, sustainable housing and urban development, and interactive media and entertainment. The main objective of these clusters is to promote the state's economic development by creating new jobs with high added value, productivity, competitiveness and sustainability.
