On 21-23 November 2018, more than 150 cluster experts from 10+ countries met in Panama at the #11CLAC organized by City of Knowledge, in partnership with the Secretariat of Competitiveness and Logistics of the Presidency and SENACYT.





The conference featured speakers that represent international organizations such as: CAF, FAO, IICA, Cluster Excellence Denmark, Social Innovation Park Ltd Singapore, BIVIZIO Canada, Ministries of Commerce and Industry of Colombia and El Salvador, Latin American clusters as Audiovisual Cluster of Mendoza and Automotive of Nuevo León; other Latin American organizations that promote clusters, Chambers of Commerce of Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla and CODECH. In addition, delegates got to know in depth the food, digital and logistic hubs of Panama by relevant institutions such as the Secretariat of Competitiveness and Logistics, ProInvex, Logistic Cabinet, Ministry of Commerce and Industries, City of Knowledge Foundation and the Panama Metro.




The 3 day program of the #11CLAC included 8 plenary sessions and more than 5 panels and parallel sessions in which delegates were able to work actively in the improvement of competitiveness, innovation, territorial development and cluster management in Latin America.



During the conference participants visited the Innovation Center Innova 109 and the Association of Business executives (ADEPE) and had the opportunity to learn first-hand the ecosystems of the ICT industry, technology, Innovation and Entrepeneurship in Panama. In addition, delegates visited the locks of the expanded canal for the presentation of the Panama Canal Authority.
