Merete is an expert and leader in cluster and innovation projects at regional, national and international level, mainly in Europe. She is co-founder and director at Cluster Excellence Denmark – on organization that was established with the aim of supporting Danish clusters on competence development, professionalization and internationalisation. Today, Cluster Excellence Denmark is considered as the best practise on cluster support in Europe. Serving as President of the global TCI Network since October 2018, Merete is helping members from 110 countries around the world to improve their knowledge and competences on competitiveness, clusters and innovation. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences, has written on internationalisation, clusters and innovation and is appointed individual member of EU Cluster Expert Group for the EU Commission.
Septi M. Bukula is the founder and director of Seeza Tourism SME Network, a collaborative network of South African tourism SMEs which focuses on enhancing the domestic and international competitiveness of tourism SMEs. Bukula has been involved in SME policy research and analysis since 1993 and works extensively with various clients in the public, private and development sector. He has served in the leadership of several SME organisations and think tanks in South Africa and internationally.
Yeinni is the Competitiveness and Cooperation Manager at Confecámaras where she is in charge of building and leading the intellectual agenda, promoting public policy in favour of the Chambers of Commerce and managing strategic alliances for business and regional development. Yeinni has worked also in the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism as Director of Productivity and Competitiveness. She has a background of 10 years in designing and implementing public policies, programs and projects. Yeinni holds a Master degree in Economics from the Pontifica University Javeriana, and has been a lector in different subjects of microenomics, industrial organization, economic development.
Managing Director, Dr Mirjana Prica, is an enthusiastic visionary who focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation to deliver commercial value. She is an experienced business and strategy leader in the food and agribusiness industry, with a passion for connecting ideas and devising solutions to deliver maximum benefit. Mirjana sits on boards and advisory groups for cooperative research centres, universities, research and industry organisations, where she leverages her 20+ years of research and commercial experience in materials, minerals, food and agribusiness. Currently, Mirjana is leading FIAL, a national and industry-led organisation, established by the Commonwealth to drive innovation and market initiatives for the Australian food and agribusiness sector.
Oliver Torres is the Chief Strategy Officer at the Economic Development Council of Chihuahua Region, designing and promoting regional development projects and initiatives to improve competitiveness in Chihuahua City. Some of the initiatives that he has recently designed and promoted are Chihuahua City Invest and Chihuahua Cluster City. Torres holds a Master Degree in Public Administration and has a graduated from as Economic Developer Specialist by the IEDC and The Economic Development Institute from the Oklahoma State University. Torres is the coordinator of the TCI Latam chapter.
