Japan Innovation Network (JIN) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013, dedicated to making Japan a nation where innovation emerges from every organization, regardless of size or sector. JIN believes innovation must be embedded systematically into management rather than left to chance. As Japan's exclusive national representative to the ISO Technical Committee for Innovation Management Systems, JIN plays a central role in developing and promoting the ISO 56000 series of international standards, including ISO 56001. Through practical programs spanning IMS design, implementation, education, and ongoing advisory support, JIN has partnered with over 80 major Japanese corporations drawing on a global network of collaborators across Europe and Asia. Rooted in knowledge creation theory developed with Professor Ikujiro Nonaka, JIN bridges academia, business, and policy to help organizations build the sustained capacity to innovate. By integrating internationally recognized frameworks with Japan's strengths in knowledge management, JIN works to connect Japan's innovation ecosystem with global best practices and translate that potential into real organizational transformation.
