TCI is an advisory partner of the European Interreg project “Leveraging Cluster Policies for successful implementation of RIS3” - CLUSTERS3 led by TCI member SPRI and starting in May 2016 with a first interregional workshop.

The First Cluster Initiatives Congress in Colombia (INNcluster) was organized by the Colombian Trade, Industry and Tourism Ministry together with TCI member iNNpulsa Colombia and support of the TCI Latin American Chapter.
International, European and national attendants representing cluster organisations, public agencies, industry and knowledge based organisations gathered together for the 19th TCI Global Conference. The event was hosted by TCI members Brainport Development and Wageningen University & Research.
The Summit Day was held on 9 November, a day dedicated to plenary sessions with keynote cluster experts to share insights about competitiveness in an original and innovative atmosphere.
The conference offered the opportunity to discover nine innovative clusters, from the industries that made the Brainport region famous (for example, high-tech and smart mobility) to more recent cluster initiatives, such as sports, health and the biobased economy.
Next year's TCI Global Conference will be held in Bogota, Colombia on 7-9 November 2017, as announced during the passing the torch ceremony in Eindhoven on 9 November 2016. The event will be the 20th anniversary of the conference.
The last day of the TCI Global Conference was held at High Tech Campus. The day was organized to have as much interaction as possible and to bring people and knowledge together. Different innovative set-ups were arranged for all sessions.
500 cluster practitioners from nearly 40 countries participated in the main international conference on cluster development in the world, organized annually by the TCI Network.
